Who We Are

ABOUT FAST AFTER SCHOOL

Mike and Jennifer Young are the co-owners of FAST, LLC and proud parents of 3 wonderful children. FAST opened in August of 2010 with just one student. God has definitely blessed us with a job where we get to help elementary age kids have a safe place to play, have fun and get plenty of exercise.

Before opening FAST, Mike, born and raised right here in Wilmington, worked with ALLTEL for 15 years before holding director positions with 2 other companies. Mikes hobbies include racquetball, where he won the 2005 NC State Singles Championship and awarded the 2006 NC Sportsmanship Award, and martial arts, earning a black belt in tae kwon do.

FAST Afterschool is the best thing ever! My son has met some great new friends, and gets to see and play with 'old' friends that he wouldn't normally get to during the week since they don't go to the same school. Coach Mike and Coach Shawn are the best, and genuinely care about my son. They go above and beyond for my son and the other kids there! It is the biggest blessing for a mother to know that her child is being taken care of and is happy and having fun, at afterschool when I cannot be there. My son begs me daily, to pick him up from FAST as late as possible, after I get off of work, so he can play as long as possible. I am very grateful for FAST afterschool, and the relationships he has made there. Coach Mike takes the time to really work with my son on football plays/skills/etc. and is truly invested and cares! My son and I LOVE FAST!!!!
